A Warm and Chilly Natural Headache Cure
The day-to-day stress of modern living can really start to take its toll. When a stressful day of work and worries begins to drag you down, the last thing you need is a throbbing headache. We have all been there and now how unpleasant they are.
Our natural instinct may be to reach for the painkillers but why not try some natural remedies first?
A natural way to help relieve headaches is temperature! Heat and cold are both natural remedies.
Rather than spending money on painkillers why not first try these relaxing remedies.
After a hard day at work and the signs of a headache on the way, take some time to relax and sit down. Before you sit down, get the foot spa out of the cupboard, wipe of the dust, and get ready to relax. Soaking your feet in warm water can help to relieve headaches, as it will make your blood go to your feet, which will ease the pressure on blood vessels in your head. Some people even recommend adding some mustard powder to the water to boost the effect.
If you have a tension headache after a day of sitting in an office chair and starring at a computer screen then a warm cloth on the forehead and back of the neck can really help.
Applying something cold such as a bag of frozen peas to your forehead can also help as the cold will restrict blood vessels and they will stop pressing on sensitive nerves.
Why not try the natural hot and cold remedy before reaching for the painkillers
